Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. She is the child of Dennis Alan Taylor, a ex-bank executive, and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist named Anya Taylor-Joy. Her father, an native of Argentina with Scottish and English heritage is her mother. Her mother is Spanish-English. Taylor-Joy has four siblings from her father's prior marriage. Buenos Aires was her home until the age of six after which the family relocated from the city of Victoria at the time of London. According to Taylor-Joy, this removal was extremely difficult for her and she refused to learn English to the hope of moving back to Argentina. The school she attended had to be changed to Northlands and then Hill House. Then she attended Queen's Gate School in London, where she took ballet classes as well as participated in plays. When she reached the age of 16years old, Taylor-Joy left the school to pursue a full-time acting profession. Taylor-Joy always wished to be an actor. As a teenager, Sarah Doukas Founder of Storm Management gave her the chance to become a model.
