Dolly-Parton
born on January. 19th, 1946, in Locust Ridge Tenn into a struggling family that would one day include 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to be free from life's hardships thanks to her expansive and imaginative imagination. Before she could compose or read the first song she ever composed, she was composing her own music. She bought her first guitar when she was just 8 years old and began singing on an Knoxville Tenn radio station at 11 years old. At the same time, she recorded her debut album Gold Band Records an independent small-scale label. Her name was made for her locally during high school, but she always dreamed about a bigger stage. After graduating from high school in 1964 she moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first track to hit the charts for Monument Records. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female vocalist to join his syndicated show in the years prior to this. Parton accepted the role in 1966. She was then signed to RCA Records in 1968, and then the Grand Ole Opry was founded in 1969. However she left Wagoner's show in 1974, as her own songs like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene began charting the collaborations they had with each other. Parton sang I Will Always Love You for Wagoner in the aftermath of their breakup. It reached number one. In 1974, the track by Parton I Will Always Love You climbed to the top spot at No.
