Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US and is a writer from Greece, a syndicated journalist and businesswoman. She co-founded The Huffington Post, is the founder and CEO of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Arianna Huffington is a writer TV personality, philanthropist, and TV host as well as the founder and editor of The Huffington Post. Originating from Greece Arianna Huffington immigrated to England with her family when she was the age of 16. In Cambridge University she earned a MA Degree in Economics. When she was 21, she became the head of the famous debate society The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign student in the history of Cambridge University to be elected. In the years following the graduation ceremony, she became a well-known conservative syndicated journalist. In the years later she created The Huffington Post which featured criticism of the present political landscape. In part, her fame has helped attract a number of famous contributors. Arianna's popularity was first noticed in 2003 when she declared herself an independent candidate in the California recall vote in order to replace then-Governor Davis. Alongside that, she also spearheaded a Detroit campaign to encourage fuel-efficient cars. Forbes listed her as one of one of the "most influential women" within the field of media with her ranking at the 12th spot. Guardian placed her on their list of 100 most influential media people in 2009. AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post in 2011 and named her head of its media division and also included several the other AOL properties such as Engadget AOL Music Style list as well as Patch Media.
